Unboxing Superbox #77 Foot Therapy

I tend to forget about taking care of my feet a lot of the time so as soon as I saw the Foot Therapy Superbox I knew I had to have it, it seemed like the ideal kick up the bum I care for my permanently ignored and ill treated feet.

The foot therapy superbox cost $23 plus shipping and has eight full-sized products which have a combined value of over $80 and it's well worth the pennies in my opinion if it help me to have beautifully soft feet.

Here's what the Memebox Superbox #77 Foot Therapy contained..

December Sample Empties - Week Two (plus alittle more)

Ok it's offical I'm rubbish and this post is way overdue but life got abit hectic early this week and to be brutally honest the post kinda got lost in the fog of my stress induced meltdown but I've finally grab an hours peace to write so here's what samples I finished off last week...

Unboxing the Memebox Princess Edition #4 The Little Mermaid

Morning lovelies as I've been atad absent recently, thanks to the pre-christmas chaos that is school concerts and pressie shopping. Now that things have calmed down alittle thought before the big event itself kicks off I should be around more.

Today I'm unboxing the Princess Edition #4 The Little Mermaid by Memebox, it was on sale for $29 plus shipping but I ordered in as part of a trio value set (Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell and Cinderella).

As a little girl I loved Ariel, her love of the sea and her free-spiritedness really appealed to me. The Little Mermaid was and still is one of my favourite Disney movies, so that and the claim that it contained some of the best skincare from both land and sea had me quickly purchasing it.

The Christmas Tag

After reading The Christmas Tag by Becky over at Milk Bubble Tea (You can read her answers here) I couldn't resist sharing the tag and my answers to it, as I'm feeling quite festive after spending the day putting up our Christmas decorations and lights. I hope you enjoy reading and as Becky originally said feel free to copy and paste the questions and answer them yourself, as I'd love to read your answers.

December Is All About Samples - Week One

Yay it's December and with Christmas quickly approaching I've decided to address my overflowing samples and mini products drawers... yes drawer not one but two and to my horror two secret shoeboxes hidden under my bed.. Mr H doesn't need to know about those.

Anyway in an attempt to shrink my collection of mini treats I've vowed not to buy any beauty products unless it's a totally life threatening necessity and to use up my samples instead. To be totally frank though I could quite possibly get by til the middle of next year with the amount of stuff I have stockpiled away.

I also thought it could be fun to keep you all updated on what I've used and what I thought of them. So without any further procastation here's last weeks empties...

Nails of the Day: GOSH Galaxy Polish

Hello lovelies, hope you've all had a fab week. Today I thought I'd share with you all a nail of the day post. Yep you did read that right a nails post, I know I haven't share anything remotely polish related in an absolute age but to be completely truthful my nails were in a right old state after a) being completely trashed after summer and b) I had an attack of nail biting when I was stressing over my final module essay, but I'm proud to say they are looking and feeling a lot stronger and healthier.

MEMEBOX Princess Edition #5 Tinkerbell

I was really undecided about ordering this Memebox at first but decided to take the plunge and ordered it as part of the second Princess trio of beauty products (Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell & Cinderella) as I just couldn't resist the promise of glitter and pixie dust at Christmas time.

The Tinkerbell box has to be the smallest Memebox I've received so far but it's still packed full with six full-sized beauty products and they are perfect to help me get my Tink inspired sparkle on this Christmas.

Novembers Nerd Block Jr. for Girls

The arrival of the girls Nerd Block Jr. box is always an exciting day in our house and this months arrival was no exception to that rule, it arrived on Friday while they were in school ready to entertain them over the weekend.

The girls love that there's always something new for them to discover and I love seeing their faces light up and just how excited they get every time they see the box sitting on the kitchen table waiting for them, the few hours peace is just a lovely little bonus on top.

Our First Arcade Block!

Happy Friday lovelies, hope your weeks not been too rough!

Today's post is a mini review of our first Arcade Block by Nerd Block. Arcade Block is a monthly subscription video game mystery box which ships to the UK from Canada, it cost $32.49 a month which was roughly around £19.

I've been toying with ordering Mr H an Arcade Block for a while as he's not only is he an avid gamer but he'd mentioned he'd starting getting a little bored with his current mystery box subscriptions so as soon as I received my spoiler email for the October box I knew I had to order it to try as I was sure he'd love it.

Memebox Princess Edition #2 Sleeping Beauty

Hi lovelies hope your all having a good week, for today's post I thought I'd share my thoughts on The Princess Edition #2, which was inspired by Sleeping Beauty and features 6 fullsized products perfect for an evening of pampering to help you out of your beauty rut, without you having to wait an age for your Prince Charming to turn up and plant true loves kiss on you to wake you up.

The first thing that impressed me was just how packed full this edition is, no one use samples in sight which is something I love memebox for.

The Snuggly Fall Tag

Morning lovelies hope you all had a lovely weekend, today I'm sharing a blogger tag that the awesome Maddie tagged me to do (you can see her original post here)

I'm abit late completing this fall tag as fall or Autumn as we call it here in the UK is just starting to come to an end.

1. Favourite thing about fall?

OK this is a fluffy answer but my favourite thing has to be watching the leaves turn from green to golden and then watching my girls run round the park kicking the fallen leaves around.

2. Favourite fall colours?

Has to be chocolate brown, caramel gold and deep purple. Wow is it bad that 2 of my 3 answers are food related.

3. Favourite fall songs?

I don't really have any but I do tend to listen to more rock the colder and darker it gets.

Nerd Block Jr. Girls October Box

Our Nerd Block Jnr box arrived and we decided to hide it away from our girls until they reached that beyond bored point during their October half term holiday and Thursday was that day!

After moaning that they were bored and had nothing to do we decided that it was time to break out the Nerd Block and find out what goodies were hidden within to which we were treated to two very excited daughters who couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Thankfully I managed to snap a few pics while K and T were distracted by munching their lunch.

LOVE me BEAUTY Box September

In September Love Me Beauty underwent what they branded a revolution. Out went the old much loved system of 3 menus to choose from and in came a selection of products all rated on a credit scheme. Every month you have 6 credits to spend,  travel sized or small samples are 1 credit each while full-sized, higher value or limited availability items are 2 credits.

As I had 1 month left on my subscription it was perfect timing for me to try the new system out to see if I liked it. After a rather bumpy few days where the new website kept crashing whenever I tried to order, I did however manage to seek a peek at the product list once before it crashed and there seemed to be a wide selection of products available, but when I finally managed to place my order (a good few days after the launch) the few bits I'd had my eye on had been snatched up.

Just a few Sanctuary Spa bargains

Morning my lovelies if your anything like me you'll love a good wander round hunting out some great beauty bargains and today's bargain post is a killer especially if your a Sanctuary Spa Fan or just trying to be super organised present shopping for Christmas.

I've mentioned before that my local Original Factory Shop just underwent a complete refit and have been expanding their beauty product section ever since and while nosing around I was super excited to find that they now stock the Sanctuary Spa brand. And not just 1 or 2 items but a whole section of shelving, and as they were more than half the RRP price as well.

Resurface & Refine Ultra Polish (RRP £12.00) - I've tried a few sample sizes of this product and loved them, it is great for getting rid of the micro-bumps on the back of my arms, so I didn't even think twice when I grabbed a full-sized tube of this as soon as I saw it and at just £3 it was amazing valve for money.

New Products for a New Hair Colour.

Even since getting my haired coloured blond ombré a couple of months ago it's been really difficult to maintain and no matter how many intensive conditioning treatments I've used in a matter of days it's back to being dry, rough and  knotting within a day. So just over a month ago I decided to take the plunge and go back to my natural dark brown and in anticipation I decided to invest in some decent hair care products. I'd tried and loved the Rituals Daily Shampoo from a previous Love Me Beauty Box (see my original post here) so the Neal & Wolf range was my first thought.

After hunting around I ordered a selection of Neal & Wolf products from, when they arrived however there had been a slight mistake made at the warehouse and I received the wrong product, Beautybay soon put right though without too much hassle.

The 'I Went A Little Crazy Online' Boots Haul

Have you ever had that horrible moment when you've picked up your favourite perfume and found it empty. Well I had that feeling the other week and so I started hunting around online to find another bottle at the cheapest price possible. That hunt led me pretty quickly to Boots were I found it half price and that they had an offer of double advantage card points when you spent over £25 on selected beauty products, I couldn't resist a look and from then on my innocence purchase of a replace bottle turned into a full on beauty haul.

My goodies arrived just over 2 weeks ago and I've spent that time trying out a few of my new goodies, keep an eye out for reviews, but in the meantime here's what I ordered...

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask 15ml (RRP £3.00) - this charcoal and kaolin clay self-heating mask draws out impurities while essential oil of myrrh helps calm and soothe skin.

Sanctuary Spa Moisture Boosting Mask 15ml (RRP £2.50) - a moisture boosting face mask with shea butter and honey to nourish skin, lavender essential oil to help you relax and organic rose hip seed oil to protect skin against ageing.

The Apocalypse is Coming! Unboxing Septembers My Geek Box...

Well our My Geek Box arrived a few days ago and again it's a great mix of products that we both like. Septembers theme is Apocalypse, and from seeing all the spoilers I was really excited and hoping for some awesome zombie inspired goodies. The only less than positive thought I had after opening was 'weres the rest?' for such a large box it was only half filled and really gave the impression of some large sized goodies hidden within. Anyway here's what we received..

MEMEBOX SPECIAL: #26 Hand & Nail Care

When I placed my ordered for the MEMEBOX Special #26 Hand & Nail Care Box (RRP $29.99) in late August, I expected it to take the full 3 weeks to arrive, so when it turned up just over a week ago, I couldn't wait to rip it open and find out what goodies it contained. Typically though after a quick ooh and ahh I haven't had a proper chance to to have a play about, what with settling K and T back into their school routines, writing up my last essay for my DD131 module and Mr H coming home. That is until last night when I managed to grab a few minutes of peace and I can't say I'm disappointed.

Lancôme Haul from

Morning my lovelies hope your all having a good start to the weekend.

Today I want to share with you one of the prettiest powder bronzers I think I've ever seen. From the second I saw the Lancôme Limited Edition Golden Riviera Star Bronzer I knew I just had to have it eventhough at £35.00 it's not exactly a cheap bronzer to buy. So I spent a few hours searching the internet for the best deal and stumbled onto where they were running an offer of a free Lancôme Renergie Gift Set if you spent over £50 on Lancôme products so needless to say I ended up with receiving bundle of Lancôme goodies.

But before we get into that let's talk pretty bronzer...

Liebster Award Nominated by ItsMaddiehbu

Hi everyone I was recently nominated by Maddie (AKA ItsMaddiehbu) to do the Liebster Award (check out Maddie's here).

The Liebster Award is a great way of small bloggers (with less than 200 followers) to help other small bloggers reach a wider audience. So the rules are after you've been nominated you answer the eleven questions asked by the blogger who nominated you. You then continue the cycle by nominating eleven bloggers yourself and ask eleven new questions.

So here's my answers to Maddie's questions..

Lip Factory - August 2014

Well my last Lip Factory beauty box (for a while at least) arrived this week and it's another fully stocked box of goodies. Lip Factory is a American monthly makeup subscription, subscription for members in the UK costs $32.00 (roughly £20), this includes shipping and handling costs. This months box has 6 products, all of which are full-sized and has an estimated value of $56.60, nearly double what I paid so its great valve for money.

August's Favourite Makes My Summer Holidays Easier.

August for me is my laziest month of the year, the girls are off school thanks to the summer hols so it's lie-in heaven with so many Pyjama and DVD days that I lose count. As you can imagine my everyday beauty routine goes straight out the window with my blow-dryer and straighteners sat gathering dust and most days my hair is scrapped back into a loose ponytail or bun with no care taken.

So before the schools broke up I picked up a bottle of John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-day straight for just £2 from my local Original Factory Shop in the hopes that it might tame my hair slightly when I just can't be bother to style it... which if I'm honest was most days.

I've used it for over 6 weeks, twice a week and I'm impressed with the results. When I've just sprayed it and left my hair to dry naturally, my wavy hairs still wavy but it's more controlled and less chaotic frizzy than before which I love. The real effect though comes when its used with my straighteners as I've found it basically cut in half the time it takes me to straighten my hair to how I like it.. I'm pretty picky with it too usually normally checking it constantly, I've even been known to grab the straighteners minutes before going out to just fix abit I think looks wrong, I'm a nightmare straightener which is probably why Mr H like my hair wavy!

When this bottle runs out I'll definitely be buying another as I love that it's a time saver not only when I'm lazying around and also when I'm stressing out getting myself dolled up.

I'd love to heard if you've tried the 3-day straight, how did it work for you?
